Practice Focus and Experience
As a scientific advisor for Nguyen & Tarbet, Kit provides in-depth scientific analysis and consultations in the areas of physical sciences, optics, and electrical engineering.

Kit has conducted research in solid state physics, electronic structure of condensed matter, quantum optics, medical imaging, fiber optics, physical optics and light scattering. She has comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of physics and optics, as well as extensive hands-on experience with photonics equipments and optical components through her work in research laboratories. Her dissertation research is in medical image analysis. She analyzed and assessed the effectiveness of nanoparticle contrast agents in improving the performance of an optical coherence imaging modality for clinical diagnosis by using an analytical framework developed from statistical decision theory, which is the same theory employed in Radar detection.

Kit has also acquired valuable training in business, especially in the area of commercialization of innovations, through the completion of an Entrepreneurship program with certificate at the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program, Eller College of Management, University of Arizona. During the summer of 2007, she worked as an intern in the "Advanced Technology Transfer Project," a bi-national project organized by Eller College of Management, University of Arizona and Mexican National Science and Technology Council. She provided guidance on selection of technologies to a cross-disciplinary project team to develop market study for commercialization of technologies.
